So just some background on my natural hair, I went natural quite recently, in April. April 24th to be exact and I went ahead and did the full boy cut. It was a definitely a spontaneous moment but also definitely something I had been contemplating for a good while. I had no idea what I was doing and upon cutting realised that I had in fact cut my hair WAY shorter than was needed but what was done was done. It was too late to go back. So that’s a short summary of how I went natural.

Where are you on your natural hair journey?

I would say I’m in a good place in my natural hair journey. My hair is growing and not breaking and I’ve gotten to place where I know what products I need to put in my hair to keep it relatively moisturised. I’m definitely still learning as I go but I’m definitely in a better position (especially with my knowledge of natural hair) than when I first cut my hair and had no clue what to do with it.

What are your natural hair struggles?

My current natural hair struggle is making sure my hair is growing evenly. At the moment, the back is growing at a much slower rate then the rest of my hair which is super annoying so at the moment dealing with that is my dilemma.

Why Boho Locs?

It offers a protective style that LOOKS GOOD! Nothing I want more than that.

Why do you love Boho Locs?

I love Boho Locs because it is made by us for us. It is made for us natural hair sisters who want to be slaying at life whilst still being dutiful to taking of our natural hair.

What style will you be doing next?

At the moment I have in the Naturel Boho Goddess Bob but I think I may either do the same or get the Brauburn Boho Goddess Bob installed.

What is it like working at Boho Locs?

It’s exciting, it really is! And it is rewarding to be part of company with such solid ethos and values. But it is equally hard work working at Boho Locs as we get busy very quickly some days.

So, I’ve been natural my whole live I’ve never wanted to relax my hair after I have seen my whole family do the same to their hair. I have always loved my natural hair and never wanted to put chemical in my hair. So, from I was young I constantly braid my hair which made it grow. However, as I’ve gotten older I have experimented with different style in my hair.

Where are you on your natural hair journey?

I would say I’m that I’m loving my natural hair and experiment with different protective style and see which ones the best for me are. I have tired weave bit that didn’t agree with my hair and I then moved onto to crochet styles and wigs. However, I am at a stage were my hair is not agreeing with me and it’s like as I’ve gotten older it’s changed and no product I use is working.

What are your natural hair struggles?

The struggle I’m having is that all the new knowledge of how to take care of your hair. I have learned that my hair is Low porosity and I’m trying to work out what product work best for my hair. I have realised that nothing is working so I’m going back to my protective styles for the coming Autumn/Winter season as I go back to the drawing board.

Why do you love Boho Locs?

I love Boho Locs because it allows me to get all my product in one pack instead of buying multiple. I love how easy it is to install and I love the customer service I experience that makes me feel like we are final heard.

What style will you be doing next?

I previously had in the Bronde Boho Goddess Locs and with so much Locs to chose from I’m not sure what to choose but when I do I’ll show you all.

What is it like working at Boho Locs?

I’m so proud to be working for a black owned business and that we can provide quality product to our sisters around the world. But at the same time, it’s hard work because as a small business there is so many different areas of the business that us 3 ladies’ mange.
