Good news, babes—our bestselling Boho Queen Locs are back and better than ever with a lot more hair. Yup, that's right! We bumped our usual 72 locs all the way up to 84 individual strands that give you a fuller, flawless head of carefree locs in no time.
The best part? Not only are you getting more strands, but our new and improved Boho Queen Locs actually look and feel so much better after you wash them!
Unlike other synthetic extensions, our locs can be wet and worn (and worn again!) without worrying about any tangling or frizz. In fact, a good wash with your favorite conditioner will leave them softer and more defined than ever before.
Of course, washing your Boho Queen Locs requires some care and finesse! So let's get into the deets of how you can achieve a gorgeous, natural look with just one wash.
Grab your goods
Our strands definitely love a little TLC from a deeply moisturizing conditioner that'll help add to the silky softness of the locs. So, don't be shy! Go ahead and wash your Boho Queen Locs with the best conditioner you have on hand.
Now should you use shampoo? It's up to you, but certainly not necessary. Our locs don't attract massive amounts of dirt or buildup. However, your scalp does need to be thoroughly cleansed after a few weeks of wearing a protective style.
So instead of shampooing your whole head of locs, just hit the roots and scalp with a gentle massage and rinse before conditioning.
Go with the flow of the locs
When washing your hair, the urge to scrub in every direction is super strong. However, this isn't the best method for Boho Queen Locs! You don't have to do anything too crazy, either. Just move your hands downward in the natural direction of the locs and you're all good.
If you really want to refresh your look, rake your fingers from the middle of the locs all the way down to the ends multiple times and you'll start to see more wave definition come in.
Keep it on the cool side
Synthetic hair and hot water aren't the greatest matches because heat tends to cause frizz, excessive dryness, and melt faux locs out of shape. That would totally take away from the beauty of Boho Queen Locs' lovely deep wave, and we absolutely don't want that!
Let's be clear—we're not asking you to suffer through ice-cold showers just to wash your locs. Instead, keep them super soft and defined by turning the hot water down a notch.
Gently twist to dry
Now that your locs are cleansed and looking even more stunning than before, it's time to finesse the dry. Like the rest of the process, this part is relatively easy. All you have to do is loosely wrap your hair in a large towel and then gently squeeze out any excess water.
Pretty simple, right? No blow-drying or extra work is necessary!
But before you go off and freely rock your Boho Queen Locs while they're air drying, make sure you coat the ends with a lightweight leave-in conditioner for some extra moisture.
As you can see, Boho Queen Locs are hot! And the new and improved locs are even hotter. Go ahead and install a new set, let them get even better with age, and get ready to slay.
