It happened to me too. There was life before locs and life after. Before Boho Locs I blended in. Now I stand out in every room I walk into, and I get complimented on my hair everywhere I go. I act different with my Boho Locs in.

02Why it’s built the way it is
I couldn’t buy what I wanted.
I went to my local beauty supply store to buy my first set. Everything on the shelf was mass-produced and you could tell.
I come from a family of women who have locs. I knew what good looked like, and none of it was that.
So I made my own.
Every loc handcrafted, no two the same. Custom color blends. Designed to move softly and sit light, because that’s what the shelf never got right.
I set out to make something elegant I could feel myself in. What happened instead was bigger than that. They changed how I carried myself — and then they started doing it for everyone else.

The person behind it
I’m Lulu Pierre. I owned a salon before this. My mom has locs, my sisters have locs — I grew up around them, which is why I was never going to accept what was already out there.
The first set I sold, sold out in three days. Then I did it again, every month, for years.
