Are Mermaid Locs reusable?
The loc base is — remove it, care for it, and reinstall it again and again. The soft wavy hair is designed for single-use wear; you refresh it when you want the full mermaid look back.
How many times can I reuse the locs?
With proper care and storage, many customers reuse the loc base multiple times over months or years.
Do I need to replace the whole set every time?
No. You reuse the loc base and only replace the wavy hair when you want to recreate the full mermaid finish.
How long can I wear them per install?

Can I wash or swim in them?
Yes — they're water-friendly, and great for swimming and holidays. Just don't sleep on them damp; let them dry fully first, and handle the waves gently to keep them soft.
Do I need to prep my own hair first?
Yes — going in with healthy, hydrated hair is the goal with any protective style. Deep condition beforehand, then, before you braid down into your cornrow base, moisturise and seal with an oil or a light butter. The tutorial videos walk you through it.
